The East Bay's Premier Travel Baseball Program

The East Bay Cyclones are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing travel baseball opportunities in the San Francisco East Bay area. We serve kids from Berkeley, Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, Kensington, Oakland and Emeryville, and run teams at the 9-10U, 11U, 12U and 13-14U age groups.

At its core, the East Bay Cyclones is an organization devoted to player development to build the skills, experience and character needed to play at the high school level and beyond. We are focused on fundamentals and teach the work ethic required to succeed not just in baseball but in life.

TEAM FORMATION

The Cyclones are a no-tryout, no-cut program. We welcome all players committed to improving their baseball skills. The only requirements to join the Cyclones program are a love of the game and a commitment to working hard. Players practice with their age-group peers. For age groups with multiple teams, we evaluate our players on a regular basis. Tournament teams are formed based on skill level and work ethic, and players have consistent opportunities to move up commensurate with their development.

OUR SCHEDULE

The Cyclones offer a year-round experience of baseball development. We typically run from August through July of the following year, with a break from November through the middle of January (winter conditioning is offered as an additional opportunity for our 12Us and older). All of our 12Us and under are recommended to play in their local Little Leagues. Our 11Us and 12Us play some spring tournaments and then we regroup in the summer and play hard from June to July.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Cyclones players also have access to individualized 1:1 coaching sessions to

fine-tune specific skill sets and dramatically improve their games.

COACHING

Each age group (9-10U, 11U, 12U, 13-14U) is led by a dedicated, professional coach, drawn from local high school programs, many of whom have played at the collegiate and minor league levels. Assistant coaches with high school and college playing experience contribute to rigorous player development.

In addition to team coaches, the Cyclones have dedicated pitching, catching and hitting coaches that work with all age groups. Cyclones players frequently train with alumni or local college teams.

SCHOLARSHIPS
& FUNDRAISING

The Cyclones do not turn away players based on inability to pay program or tournament costs. We offer financial aid to ensure that kids with a love of baseball have the opportunity to play.

Consider supporting this endeavor through a donation. Annual registrations cover the basics for each team: coaches, fields, uniforms, equipment, clinics, etc. With a little more, we could do a lot more. Your gift of $25, $50, $100 or more will allow us to invest in more scholarships, enhance professional coaching and training, build out dedicated Cyclones facilities, hire administrative help, support program costs for our summer travel experiences and assist with the things that are vital to sustaining the organization for the long-term.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, contributions to the East Bay Cyclones are tax deductible
(FEIN # 46-1483448).
